Adam And Eve

A love story?

In this age of multiple divorces and much debate and confusion over what marriage is and for whom is it meant, why is it that no one is talking about Adam and Eve? Or is it a matter of consequence that by not talking about Adam and Eve there are so many divorces and much confusion over marriage? How has it come to pass that Adam and Eve are never depicted in ancient art or described in religious oration as the intimate lovers that they obviously were? The oldest story of humanity in the Judeo-Christian tradition and nothing on the subject of intimacy.

How come we never see or hear about Adam and Eve holding hands as lovers?

We find Adam living in paradise and all is good. Adam, lonely and in need of a partner, gets Eve. Together they live in paradise and now it really is good. Then comes some trouble. He blames her. She blames the environment. They get kicked out of paradise and things aren’t so good any longer. They have self-esteem issues, they start wearing clothes, planting their own food and experience childbirth without meds. However, there are no calls to the divorce lawyers, yet.

They have a son. They have another son. The first son kills the second son and then gets banished forever. Adam and Eve suffer the loss of both of their sons. They feel agony over one as an innocent victim and humiliation over the other, a murderer. Still no finger pointing, no blame games and no calls to the lawyers.

Instead they have a third son, Seth.  Adam and Eve are as tight a couple as you can find. They are either the stars of the best true love story ever told….or….. they were two of the densest creatures ever created.
